chapter 8 + bonus 1 - alpha ask me a question / beta matricide

hello! there is a bonus chapter today! i wanted to return to the continuity of the original work and explore a moment that had happened off-camera, as it were. my original intention was to interweave these bits into the story... but aside from this one i haven't really found anything that spoke to me, so I guess it's a bonus.

also the order of the tarot cards was random, pulled from a deck i had lying around. i like the way it turned out; it really informed how i see the characters involved in a fun and surprising way.
